How we show up

When you are sitting in a room full of people are your shoulders hunched? Do you sit up straight and make eye contact? Get curious about how you “show up” in a space because it will really expose the key to how you are feeling inside. When we are open through awareness we can start to change and shift our physiological state so in turn it will address our emotional/mental state. Open body posture is inviting and shows those around you that you are eager to engage in social interaction. If you feel that you are not received as you expect by others, please tune into your body and then emotion for clues.

Be silent and listen

It is so cleansing to sit in pure silence with yourself. Just sit there and be, without worrying and judging the thoughts that will pass through your mind. This is truly being in yourself. It’s amazing how many times I hear clients say that they can not meditate because they don’t know how. There is no right way to do it. There is no special tricks or mind games, it’s just to be present and quiet so you can hear what is happening in the stream of your consciousness. Once you are aware of the thoughts, judgements, fears, love…and so on, you are just to acknowledge they are there and you’ve done your work. The greatest effort is not concerned with results. Try to take some time with yourself, for yourself and simply listen. There is true release and growth to be gained.
